Furious 7 has become Universal's first ever film to make $1 billion worldwide in its 103 year history.
The latest instalment of the Fast and Furious franchise has been top of the box office for the past two weeks and is expected to top the charts for yet another week.
Though a Fast and Furious 8 is widely expected, the film proved to be a fitting send off to Paul Walker, who led the line of the franchise until his tragic death in 2013.
Just 17 days after its release, Furious 7 has become only the 20th film to ever cross the $1 billion landmark since Titanic did it first in 1997; the most recent was last year's Transformers: Age of Extinction.
